What You Can Do Yourself

• Remove winter debris: Clear away leaves, pine needles, twigs and other material that has accumulated over the quieter months. A suitable stiff brush, plastic rake or leaf blower can be useful.
• Rinse the surface: A thorough rinse with a garden hose can remove accumulated dust and light surface dirt. Make sure the installation has appropriate drainage.
• Check the edges: Walk around the perimeter and look for any areas where an edge appears loose, lifted or damaged. Small problems are generally easier to address before the area becomes heavily used.
• Brush the pile: Areas that have received regular foot traffic may have flattened fibres. Brushing with a suitable brush can help improve the appearance and restore the pile.
• Check for damage: Look for visible tears, burns, damaged joins, lifted edges or other changes to the installation. If something doesn't look right, have it assessed before the summer season.
