What Can Usually Be Repaired
Seam Repairs
Seams can sometimes become visible, open or damaged through use, movement or problems with the original installation. Where the surrounding grass and backing are in suitable condition, the affected area may be re-secured and repaired. The final appearance will depend on the original installation, the extent of the damage and whether the grass can be matched appropriately.
Edge Repairs
Artificial grass edges can lift or become loose for various reasons, including movement, damage or problems with the original installation. In suitable circumstances, the affected edge can be re-secured. Before repairing it, the cause of the problem should be considered so that the same issue does not simply return.
Patch Repairs
Localised damage or worn sections can sometimes be cut out and replaced with a suitable matching piece of artificial grass. The result depends on the condition of the surrounding installation and whether a sufficiently close match is available. On older grass, colour or fibre differences may make a repair more visible.
Burn Damage
Small areas of burn damage may sometimes be repaired by removing the affected section and replacing it with suitable matching grass. Burns from cigarettes, barbecues or other heat sources can vary considerably in size and severity. Damage caused by reflected sunlight can also require careful assessment before deciding whether repair is practical.
Pet Damage
Localised damage caused by digging, scratching or concentrated use can sometimes be repaired without replacing the entire installation. Where damage is extensive or repeated, however, it may be necessary to consider why it is occurring and whether a different solution would provide a better long-term result.
When Repair May Not Be the Right Answer
Repair is not always the most sensible option. In some situations, replacement may provide a better result or represent better value.
Extensive damage where multiple repairs would become disproportionately expensive.
Older installations where a close match to the existing grass is no longer available.
Underlying problems where poor preparation, drainage or movement could cause the same issue to return.
Multiple damaged areas spread across the installation.
Poor original installation where correcting the underlying problem is more important than repairing the visible damage.
Significant wear where replacing the affected area may provide a more consistent finish.

The first step should be understanding what has actually caused the problem. We don't assume that every problem requires a complete replacement, and we don't promise that every repair will be possible. We assess the grass, the damage and, where necessary, the underlying installation before explaining the available options. If a repair is practical, we'll explain what can be done. If replacement or further preparation would provide a better result, we'll tell you that instead.
