Artificial Grass Spain
Expert Advice

Can You Repair Artificial Grass Installed by Another Company?

Yes. We regularly receive enquiries from property owners who need artificial grass repaired after it was originally installed by another company. The original installer may no longer be available, the installation may have developed a problem, or the property may have changed hands. Whatever the reason, we assess the existing installation on its current condition and advise whether a repair is practical.

Why People Come to Us

There are several reasons why property owners contact us about artificial grass installed by another company.

The original installer is no longer available or no longer operating.

The original installer is not responding to enquiries about the problem.

A problem has developed that the original installer is unable or unwilling to resolve.

The property has changed ownership and the new owner doesn't know who installed the grass.

What We Need to Know

We don't need the original installation paperwork or the name of the installer to carry out an initial assessment. What matters is understanding what has happened and what condition the installation is in now.

If you have the information, it can be helpful to tell us:

Approximately when the grass was installed.

What problem has developed and where it is located.

Approximately how large the affected area is.

Whether the problem has changed or become worse over time.

Whether you know which grass product was originally installed.

Photographs are particularly useful for an initial assessment. Clear photographs of the affected area, wider views of the installation and close-ups of any damage can help us understand the problem before arranging an inspection.

How We Approach Third-Party Repairs

We assess every installation on its own merits, regardless of who originally installed it. We don't make assumptions about the previous installer or criticise work we haven't carried out ourselves. Instead, we look at the installation as it is today and consider what can realistically be done. Sometimes the problem is relatively straightforward and a local repair may be appropriate. In other cases, we may find that the underlying preparation, drainage, edges or other parts of the installation need attention.

Where the problem is more extensive, replacement may provide a better result. Our recommendation is based on what we believe is the most practical solution for the property, rather than automatically suggesting a complete replacement.

The Challenge of Matching Grass

One of the main considerations with third-party repairs is finding a suitable match for the existing artificial grass. If the original product is still available, matching may be relatively straightforward. Older installations can be more difficult, particularly where the original grass has changed colour or the manufacturer has discontinued the product. A new piece may also look slightly different from grass that has been exposed to the Costa Blanca climate for several years. We'll explain this before any repair work is undertaken. If a patch repair is likely to be noticeable, we will tell you. In some situations, replacing a larger section or the complete area may provide a more consistent and satisfactory result.                                                              HAVE GRASS INSTALLED BY ANOTHER COMPANY?
